It contains Enterococcus faecium and Lactobacillus acidophilus, beneficial bacteria that are part of the normal intestinal flora and are believed to help resolve diarrhea caused by stress, antibiotic administration, or change in diet. Inulin oligofructose acts as a prebiotic to help the probiotics compete with undesirable bacteria. Kaolin helps soothe irritated intestines and absorb water and excess bacterial toxins, while pectin helps absorb water to firm stool—making it a convenient dog supplement and cat supplement for GI support.
